About nlbooks

nlbooks develop tools to support the classroom teacher in the teaching of numeracy and literacy to students of school years 4 to 7 and beyond.

nlbooks currently have two key apps available. 'n4to7 Workbook' which is used by the student and 'n4to7 Observe' for the teacher.

'n4to7 Workbook' is a stand alone productive tool for learning and improving mathematics skills at school years 4 to year 7 and beyond. 'n4to7 Workbook' can also be used in conjunction with the teachers 'n4to7 Observe' app.

'n4to7 Observe' allows the teacher to observe in real time all the students activity on their 'n4to7 Workbook'. The teacher is able to immediately identify and rectify any learning issues.

nlbooks apps support the teacher to;

• Give the teacher immediate feedback on student and class performance on skills.
• Ensure prerequisite skills are understood before teaching new skills.
• Check new skills taught have been understood
• Mix new skills with previously mastered skills to reinforce learning
• Better monitor progress and assist both individuals and the class.
• Provide seamless progression to above grade and below grade skills to aid advancement and remediation.
• Provide an environment where students can explore skills at their own pace.
• Provide onging measurement and reporting on progress.

nlbooks can complement the traditional teaching medium used in the classroom.

• 'n4to7 Workbook' is the student component of nlbooks. n4to7 stands for “numeracy four to seven”.
